Come on in and browse John’s love of the Big Sur Coast, as captured in his paintings. John’s family has been in the area for over 100 years. His powerful love for Big Sur has made it impossible for him to pull up his deep roots in the area, and made him feel eternally grateful to be alive, and blessed with the life and challenges of homesteading his property on Clear Ridge in Big Sur. A General Contractor since 1996, John grew up in, and around the ocean his whole life, surfing, fishing, and building fine homes in the Big Sur area to this day still. Having raised his children who are now grown, a son and a daughter, John has 3 grandsons, from son, Ryan, and a new Granddaughter on the way from daughter Lily, John shares his life with his beautiful and beloved Jeanne by his side, who after years of hearing John talk about his desires to try oil painting, set John up with some supplies on his birthday so he could begin to realize his dream of painting. Thus began John’s adventures in capturing on canvas, his feelings of experiencing first hand, some of the wonders and mysteries that are, Big Sur!
